Don't Worry The Weekend IS COMING!

Greetings.

What is it about feet that either bring us to state things like; "how beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" or "it might be best if you see a foot doctor about that?"!? In any case I guess one can see either beauty or not in almost any situation, ya think?

Well, it is a beautiful day here in Daphne despite the forecast of rain and we have had a tremendous couple weeks not only in our services but also in many other forms of worship . . .

We had to move our "Glory Barn" to the Lighthouse this past Sunday night but it turned out to be a great evening with some new faces as well. We had a great evening in dialogue about what it means to be a believer who feels helpless in a world where there is so much oppression. As Pastor Tim facilitated the discussion with primarily a few questions and a few verses from the Bible the group was primarily led within itself. It was a beautiful evening as we grappled together such a big issue.

We then had a great time for those who could stay at our little "ice-cream social/game time"! We obviously ate up the great "Sundaes" prepared as well as our time being "goofs" playing the game Cranium. If any of this sort of "worship" sounds interesting to you, please don't hesitate to join us. Go ahead and check out our June calendar posted on our site, and come and have a great time with us!

We also celebrated with two of our young people on their great accomplishment of graduating from High School. We know that God has big things in store for Megan and Tyler. May His grace, peace, and strength be ever abundant in your lives as you begin this next great adventure of life.

Finally, we want to make sure that EVERYONE is invited to our "Sunday on the Beach"! We will be at the Fairhope beach next Sunday afternoon and evening hanging out, eating some great food, and having a tremendous time in the sun. We will have "Conversations on Faith" at 5 - 6pm on the beach as well. We hope to see you all there and then some!

Grace and peace be with you all this week. And before I sign off, we will leave you with these words;

"A sacrament is when something holy happens. . . If we weren't blind as bats, we might see that life itself is sacramental" - Frederick Buchner

In His Grace,
Pastor Tim
