Interested in being a "disciple"?

We are less than a week away from Pentecost and for some this may mean absolutely nothing, but for others, it may mean . . . ?

So, what does it mean for you?
How has Pentecost effected or affected your life?
What is the meaning, so-to-speak, of Pentecost for you?

We would love to hear your comments, thoughts, and/or questions.

I guess for me (the other Pastor Tim), Pentecost leads me to questions about discipleship. Like;
What does it mean for the Holy Spirit to really live in me?
Should this even effect my daily life as a believer?
If it does effect my daily life as a believer what does that mean about following Christ, or being a disciple of Christ?
Is any of this even possible as a believer in 2007?

I am amazed that I can believe in a God who covers the earth with His glory, much like this cloud covering this great mountain, but I have a hard time believing that He can cover me in the same way. Why is that? What makes it so hard for me to just release all that I am into Him- and let Him, cover me?! Am I afraid that all the world might see is Him, and not me?!

If questions like these intrigue you, interest you, or if you would just like to have conversations on such issues about faith. This is of course one place to begin, but we also meet at the Campbell's home 2 to 3 times per month on Sunday nights at 6pm. Come and join us, or just enter in on the conversation right here.

We do believe that God longs for us to be in community grappling with tough questions and issues on life. Would you like to grapple with us?

In His grace,
Pastor Tim Whetstone
