May has arrived

Greetings everyone

Spring has most definitely "sprung" upon us and we at Lighthouse have been active, and that's not just hanging out at the beach!

This past Saturday we launched our A.C.T.S. (Acts of Compassion Toward Society) days ministry. Honestly, there was a very small turn-out, but we have hope that our next one will be so anticipated that everyone will want to be a part. We believe that God wants to do something mighty in Daphne and beyond, through the Lighthouse Church of the Nazarene, and it begins by us BEING INvloved in our community. So don't miss out on our next A.C.T.S. Day!

This past Sunday we also celebrated "Baby Day". It was a true blessing to honor our babies and young children. Jesus challenged and commanded us to become like a child -"Unless we become like one of these (children) we will never see the Kingdom of Heaven." Children are full of trust, full of hope, full of faith, and always learning! Let us be children in the kingdom of Heaven always learning from our King, in trust, hope, and faith!

Our pastoral staff just returned from a week of meetings, services, and great fellowship time with others across our Alabama South District. We also elected a new District Superintendent. Our former D.S., Dr. Roy Fuller and his wife Nina retired after many years of service and incredible leadership. We elected a new servant-leader, Rev. Mark Berry. He and his wife Debbie are tremendous people and we look forward to the great visionary leadership they will provide this area in the Church of the Nazarene.

Finally, we welcome you all to join us on Sundays! This is a special sacred time set-apart to worship together. Come and join us THIS SUNDAY for Mother's Day, and a special MC Sunday Celebration! Our Sunday morning services are at the Lighthouse church building and our Sunday night small group meets at Pastor Campbell's home.

And don't forget to check out our new May Calendar because there is a lot happening this month, like: movie night, Moe's nights, BBQ at the Whetstone's, Prayer group, Pentecost celebration Sunday, MC Sunday, and Glory Barn Pool Side! . . . just to name a few!

Let's "Church Together"!

Grace and peace,

Lighthouse Pastoral Staff
