Third Week of Lent . . .

It is good to be in the midst of a pilgrimage, is it not? Sometimes I wonder . . .
. . . how many of us would rather ditch the journey and head straight for the party?
. . . how many of us want to skip the sacrifice and head straight for the banquet?
. . . or how many of us would rather not pick-up a cross and follow
him, but instead celebrate only the graces and blessings He so faithfully gives?

These seem to be some of the questions that Lent brings out. That is, if we are willing to remain pilgrims on a journey towards the cross. So, are we willing to "loose our life so that we may find it", "take a humble place - like a child - to become great in the kingdom of God", "deny ourselves and take up our cross and follow him", "let the dead bury the dead", or "save our lives by loosing it"? Tough questions, but worth the grapple!

We
welcome you all to join us on Sunday Mornings at 10:30 as we continue to dive into deep questions on life and lent. The next two Sundays will be addressing:
1. A Wholeness Question: "Do you want to be made well?"
by: Pastor Bonnye Campbell

2. A Discipleship Question: "Do you wish to keep going or walk away?"
by: Pastor Tim Campbell

We also encourage you all to join us for some special events coming soon to Lighthouse:
  • A "Seder Meal" March 24th by: Jews for Jesus (More details coming soon)
  • The "Stations of the Cross Interactive Prayer Labyrinth" April 6 - 7th
Grace and peace to you all as we journey towards the cross TOGETHER!
