Things Are Happening . . .

Greetings everyone.

This will be short and sweet (well, maybe just short?).

We just wanted to you to be aware of the upcoming events. Take a look at our July Calendar and start planning to be together for some terrific, outreach days (A.C.T.S.), pool side Glory Barn, July 4Th party, etc.

Currently Tim and Danielle (and baby Natalie) are leading a young college soccer missions team to Italy. They served there as missionaries for over three years. Let's keep the entire team in our prayers and trust that God has BIG THINGS in store for both the team and those whom they encounter. May the Lord shape and mold the team as they help change the world in His grace, His love, and with His power.

Finally, don't hesitate to start the conversations on our blog site. We will leave you with this thought and hopefully "church" will happen. Let's worship together as we grow together.

"Seldom or never do we hear anything about simplicity as an essential discipline of the spiritual life. . . Simplicity means "absence or artificial ornamentation, pretentious styles, or luxury." . . . Where there is simplicity , words can be taken at face value. . . Simplicity does not mean, "easy to understand. Paul was not easy to understand. Nor was Jesus. Men are still wrestling with their great utterances. Both Jesus and Paul are characterized by simplicity. Their intention was not to confuse or deceive but to clarify and illumine."

What does it mean to live in simplicity?
How does this look in today's world as Believers/Christians?

What might you have to change in order to live the life of simplicity that Jesus calls us to?

In His grace,
Pastor Tim Whetstone
